*UPDATE* 911 Call Released in Ethan Liming Case: System Pushing for “Self-Defense” Narrative – Justice for Ethan Liming

There are new developments in the case of Ethan Liming; the seventeen-year-old White boy who was viciously murdered for his race in Akron, Ohio. The 911 call made by the black friends of Ethan at the time of his murder has officially been released to the public.

In the shocking clip, listeners can hear in real-time as Ethan’s black friends call asking law enforcement for help, but after what appears to be intimidation from killers still on the scene, they quickly backtrack their previous claim to save face in front of the perpetrators.

“Our friend just got knocked out. We don’t know what to do,” The caller can be heard pleading with dispatchers. In a sudden turn, the caller can then be heard saying “… “It’s OK, though. It’s cool now. It’s cool now.”

As the operator asked if the fight was still going on, a voice in the background was heard saying, “Hey, man. We’re sorry, man. We didn’t mean it,” according to the report.

In reality, Ethan had already been knocked unconscious after he was hit in the back of the head by a gang of black attackers. The perpetrators have since been arrested by Akron Police, but only with cooperation from the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force.

After the murder, Tyler Stafford, 19, Donovan Jones, 21, and Deshawn Stafford Jr., 20 proceeded to steal Ethan Liming’s car and flee the scene, driving it to another parking lot.

20-year-old Deshawn Stafford Jr., 19-year-old Tyler Stafford, and 21-year-old Donovon Jones were arrested on June 11th. They are being held on a $1 million bond for the lynching of seventeen-year-old Ethan Liming.

When pressed by the 911 dispatcher to see if Ethan was still breathing, the caller claimed, “Yeah, he’s breathing. He’s breathing.” A commotion could be heard not long after in the background, prompting the caller to say, “I’m not trying to fight, though,” to an unknown party. Police arrived on the scene three minutes later, finding Ethan unresponsive.

Plenty of questions remain unanswered in this case, however, as the refusal of law enforcement to pursue hate crime charges before arrests had been made, highlights a clear double standard in the criminal justice system.

Would hate crime charges be sought if the races in this tragic case were reversed? Or is law enforcement willfully sweeping a racially inconvenient murder under the rug before the greater White community becomes aware?

What’s troubling is the apparent cooperation on display between the Akron Police, the Media, and the legal defense of the three black murderers. According to Jonathan Sinn, the legal representative for 20-year-old DeShawn Stafford, claimed the beating was made in self-defense after witnessing “a car-load of teenagers … with, what at the time seemed to be a fully automatic firearm,”

“Gel Blaster water beads that break on impact. Gel Balls are completely disappeared once dry, without stain or cleanup!”

The “firearm” in question was a fluorescent orange “SplatRBall” water gun toy. The media is quick to highlight that SplatRBall’s website warns users not to “take SplatRBall Blasters to any school or federal properties” or “aim at or blast people or animals” but fails to reiterate that the “I Promise School” was already closed for the summer, and that the attackers—all adult men—were using the basketball courts regardless.

“Ethan’s father said his son has hit him with the toy gun before, and the gel bullets feel like a “rubber band snap.”

If the act was in self-defense, as defense lawyers have claimed, then why did the three killers proceed to steal Ethan’s car after the murder and flee? Why did they try to intimidate friends of Ethan while they were in the middle of making a call for help to 911?

Shifting blame onto the victim of what can only be described as a modern-day lynching is a painfully reckless narrative to promote, especially when community members are still reeling from the death of young Ethan. The narrative is also gravely inaccurate. According to Police reports, Ethan was not the “shooter” of the toy, but rather, it was his black friends who fired the water gun toward the murderers at the “I Promise School” basketball courts. Ethan, as it turns out, merely got out of the car to help de-escalate the situation.

When deciding who to lash out against for the perceived slight of being shot by a harmless water gun toy, Deshawn Stafford Jr., Tyler Stafford, and Donovon Jones did not attack any of Ethan Liming’s black friends (and shooters of the SplatRBall gun). They instead chose to attack, and ultimately kill, the White teenager. The only fruit of young Ethan’s attempts at peacemaking between the two parties was his own merciless, racially motivated killing.

It is of the opinion of the editor that Akron officials—in a pathological quest to attain racial “equity”—are entirely committed to throwing a seventeen-year-old victim of a brutal murder under the proverbial bus. As a result, the Hyphen-Report and the greater White community demand that Ethan’s savage killers be charged not only with hate crimes, but also with lynching, which is now made possible by the Emmett Till Antilynching Act, passed by Congress in March, 2022.
